Study Buddy
An AI tutor tied into the school's own curriculum, that reads a photo of a handwritten problem, listens to a spoken question, and gently steers a wandering conversation back on topic, the same way a good tutor would.
Everything on this page is real and already running inside GFS today. This is not a wishlist, it is what is actually built: six AI systems working directly with students, and a second layer of AI quietly doing the work that used to eat entire weekends out of a teacher's term.
The AI layer
This is not a chatbot bolted onto a school website. Every AI feature inside GFS is built directly around what a specific school is already teaching, so the help a student gets is actually relevant, not generic.
An AI tutor tied into the school's own curriculum, that reads a photo of a handwritten problem, listens to a spoken question, and gently steers a wandering conversation back on topic, the same way a good tutor would.
Space for the question no single subject covers. A student asks, out loud or by typing, and gets a real, thoughtful answer instead of silence.
Walks a student through an assignment step by step, at the exact moment they are stuck, instead of leaving them waiting until the next school day for help.
Generates fresh, personalized quiz questions on demand, verified for accuracy before a student ever sees them, and ranks every correct answer on a single leaderboard that runs across the entire Gagner for Schools network, not just one classroom.
Network-wide leaderboardA plain question about fees collected or spending this term, answered from that specific school's real, live numbers, no accountant required.
Built into the platform from the ground up, so no child gets left behind because the tool in front of them was not built for how they learn.
Beyond the classroom
The six systems above are what a student feels every day. Underneath them, the same AI engine is quietly doing the work that used to eat entire weekends out of a teacher's term.
Individual comments generated for every student, allowed to state only what that student's real data actually supports. Speed, without ever inventing a fact to get there.
A written overview of a student's term, built to read like it was written for one child, not pulled off a spreadsheet a parent has to interpret alone.
Real written feedback generated from a student's actual performance, so a grade is always followed by something worth learning from.
Suggests objectives, prior knowledge, vocabulary, and evaluation questions for a plan a teacher is already building. The teacher stays in control; the AI just removes the blank page.
Turns a written lesson note directly into a ready-to-teach slide deck, objectives slide included, with every version saved so a teacher can return to exactly what they taught last term.
The same engine behind AI Quiz Master generates full question sets for computer-based testing and admission exams, every one verified for accuracy before it ever reaches a student.
A live AI credit balance tracks usage across every single feature, so a school always knows where its AI capacity is going, and never opens a surprise bill.
Responsible by design
AI in a school is different from AI in a normal app. Children use it, teachers rely on it, and the decisions it supports can affect real people. That is why safety is built into GFS from the start, not added on after the product was finished.
Every message a student sends, and every reply the AI gives back, passes through a safety check first. It cannot be skipped. When something serious comes up, the AI does not try to handle it alone, it responds appropriately and gets the right people involved.
Report card comments and every other AI write-up work only from a school's actual records. The AI cannot invent behaviour, traits, or incidents that never happened, and every comment still goes back to the teacher before it reaches a report.
Study Buddy has daily usage limits. AI Quiz Master includes cooldown periods between repeated attempts on the same topic. AI should support learning, not become something a child spends unlimited time on.
GFS keeps a record of AI activity across the platform: what was asked, what came back, and which student it involved. Schools get real visibility, not just a promise that everything is working correctly.
Study Buddy is connected to the school's own curriculum. If a conversation drifts off topic, the AI guides it back, instead of letting it become an unrestricted chat.
Our core principle
Drafts the comment from a student's real records.
Reviews the draft and decides what is actually included.
Suggests objectives, prior knowledge, vocabulary, and activities.
Stays in control of the plan from beginning to end.
Turns a teacher's own lesson note into a ready-to-teach deck.
Brings the knowledge and intent behind every slide.
Identifies the concern and gets it to the right people fast.
Take it from there. AI never plays counsellor.
Finds the numbers and explains them in plain language.
Decides what the school actually does with its money.
Flags a class that is falling behind the scheme of work.
Chooses how to respond. The classroom still belongs to them.
